With his masterful chiaroscuro technique, Dino Pedriali managed to transform a men couple’s legs and knees in a perfect still life composition, like a metamorphosis into flowers that still preserve their human origins. In the opposite way and 30 years earlier, ceramist Antonia Campi infused an organic soul into an utilitarian and inanimate object such as an umbrella stand, which in her hands became an alien form of life. We like these continuous cross references between movement and stillness, organic and artificious forms.
