Eva Rubinstein (Buenos Aires, 1933), is a well-known Polish-American photographer whose artistic works present intimate portraits, nudes and often empty interiors, taken in Europe as well as the United States. About the sense of emptiness in her works she said “I feel in certain places a very strong sense of the people who may have been there or may yet come...When I was quite small my parents traveled a great deal. They were away sometimes for months at a time and I used to go into their room and get a very strong feeling of their presence which would make me feel better and less lonely....Maybe I’m trying to find something elusive in myself.”
