Back in the 1910's Julius Dressler might have not imagined that in 50 years mankind would move its first steps in space. Though Jugenstil production is usually over decorated, this vase maintains a sturdy and graphic appearance reminding a rocket component of the 1960’s. In those years NASA started space exploration with the goal to bring the first men to the Moon, which happened eventually in 1969. This vintage print of 1965 depicts the first time of a man floating in space, an embryo of a new generation of humans projected to the unknown.
